They're just great. I paid about $15 for mine at Target, but the Amazon price is even cheaper.Output is listed at 35 lumens on some models and 50 lumens on others. The change is due to a change in the ANSI measuring standards; the lights are the same though. Output is about 45 lumens on an alkaline. The light runs on one AA battery, and an Energizer alkaline is included. It will also run on a lithium or NiMH cell. Also, a 14500 will work for a 120-lumen output. If you choose to use a 14500, you'll probably void the warranty, so use your own judgment. Also, the light will heat up in about a minute on 14500. The lens is plastic, not glass, but it's thick and clear. The reflector is aluminum and has an orange peel finish, evening out the beam profile. The beam is nice and white, with a definite hot spot. The light turns on with a forward clicky switch, which I prefer. The clicky is a bit sensitive, so pocket carry may not be ideal for... (I am a Deputy Sheriff and alot of the guys I work with now carry this little torch with them...on, and off duty) 5 STARS - and its perfect for your pocket 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  Gave this thing TWO chances still defective, This review is from: Energizer 1-LED Tactical Metal Flashlight (Battery Included) (Sports) I love the IDEA of this light. it does make a great EDC light for emergency use and whatnot, it's a good size for the pocket compare to my Surefire, it comes with a good clip and uses a simple AA battery.Only problem is that there seems to be a issue with the battery connection. it would work, but then after a day or two it won't turn on, or it will turn on VERY VERY VERY dim, with a hard tap, it would come on full power again, after a day it would start of dim again. basically EVERYTIME I NEED the light I would have to turn it on and give it a hard tap. I returned the first one and got another one because I truly loved the size, but the second one started doing it again. I will try to contact energizer and get another replacement. this thing is annoying. |
