Very durable with hand warmer pockets. Waterproof enough to deal with light rain (most all we get in the desert) and snow (what I mostly use it for) but light enough not to think twice about grabbing. "Super" DWR supposedly five time better at repelling water than standard DWR (but doesn't last as long and can be added to any jacket with McNett ReviveX Spray-On) while Conduit SL fabric still provides some breathability. Mountain Hardware very respected manufacturer. This has replaced my heavy jacket for most skiing and cold weather hiking except for the worst conditions. Alas, wrist elastic could be much better. Plus, as already pointed out, it runs slightly small in the shoulders (fitted - as seems common for athletic jackets) so you may want to order one size larger (unless thin).
