I wanted to make Chinese Hot Pot at home, but have always concerned about the safety of these portable stoves or gas burners. After some in-depth research, I decided to buy this gas burner made by Iwatani International.This particular burner is made in Japan, and it costs a little more...okay, a lot more. I paid five times more than those my friends did (theirs are not the same brand), but it was so handsomely made. I especially love the safety features. I was nervous when I put in the butane gas container for the first time, but it was so easy, and there was a lock to lock the gas container in place for safety. After I secured the butane gas canister, covered the cover back, and just turned on the gas stove, the water came to a boil within minutes. It was such a no-brainer!
