They are just about as simple and as cheap as they come for lighters. At one time or another I have owned several of the other brands available here on Amazon, and have never used any that were worth the extra price asked, or that last any longer. The only time I would recommend paying more for a simple lighter is if you happen to have a situation where you have a grill that has a cramped design or placement where a flexible flame rod is worth the extra money. Otherwise my experience has been that they light no better, nor last any longer than the cheaper one here. I highly recommend you buy these lighters a bunch at a time for you will save a lot on shipping, and, they will come out as an even bigger bargain per lighter than most could manage to find in stores... 17 of 21 people found the following review helpful IT APPEALS TO THE PRIMITIVE BEAST IN ME., By This review is from: BBQ Gas Fireplaces Lighters Flame Torch Safety Lock Adjustable Flame Black This is one nifty, cheap, useful and no hassle lighter. I buy these things five and six at a time. Of course I am able to buy them when they go on sale at 1.50 each here at a local store. Never the less, even at the price offered here they are a bargain.I have a gas grill, a grill I have had for about three years now. It is a nice grill; very ostentatious very pretentious. As a matter of fact I use it on one of our side patios, the one off of the dinning room, simply so it cannot be seen from the road. The grandeur of the thing sort of embarrasses me and I would not want folks thinking I was putting on airs. This wonderful grill, and it is truly a magnificent thing, cost about four times what I paid for a new Ford sedan in 1963...it is obscene. The grill is loaded and has every feature you can imagine.
