This is a great barbecue. Converts your Camp Chef stove into a good grill. My 200 plus dollar Sams Club propane grill is no comparison. This has cast iron grates compared to stainless wire. World of difference in food texture and taste. The heat plate does burn the fats and I have not had flare ups like on the store bought traditional propane grill. It has a large capacity. I was tempted to purchase the new 4 burner camp chef just to have two of these. Camp chef stove burners have a much higher btu rating than store bought grills. So you can get the temperature really hot to sear the meat and seal the juices. Note that a camp chef stove has such powerful burners that most of the grilling is done on the lowest stove setting.

When the grill box arrived, I took the grates out and cleaned them. Then I took the box and new stove on a hunting trip. I used the grill box to grill new york strip steaks and brats in about 10 degree weather. I had the stove settings at medium then medium low and inspite of the cold temperature, we had perfectly cooked steaks in less than 15 minutes. Now that I'm home, I can't wait for spring to set it all up in the yard and start experimenting more. I've looked at this set up for over a year before I pulled the trigger and it certainly lived up to every expectation I had.

This grill top is a fantastic buy! I bought the grill at COSTCO and needed a grill top. Saw this one on Amazon and ordered it immediately. It works beautifully and all BBQ items cook very evenly on this grill. This is one of the best purchases I ever made!
