This review is from: Coghlan's 8770 Pack Grill (Sports) It served our purpose, which was to allow us to perch small pots over our campfire by supporting the grill on rocks. Before I packed the grill for our trip I broke off the folding legs intentionally. I was surprised how easily the metal legs fractured in the process. The grill warped a fair amount in use, but remained usable. I suspect it may not hold up well for extended use. Since using this, I purchased a folding fire grate from Brother Finbar (www.finnovations.org), which looks like a much better design for my purpose. It performed wonderfully while cooking steak and peppers over an open fire after carrying it for 9 miles a day. Great buy, great value. Probably a little small for car camping, but perfect for a ranging adventurer. This review is from: Coghlan's 8770 Pack Grill (Sports) great for backpacking. light weight, easy to carry, fold to be VERY good for backpacking. field tested it in my yard before camping works perfect. i used to use my home grill surface raised with two rocks on the side and its big heavy and bulky to carry this solved all my problems. its also able to slide to and away from the fire so you can take you food off the top without it still be directly over the fire. highly recommended!!!
