It didn't look like much when I unpacked it, but we were quite impressed the first time we used it. The grill handled two hamburgers and two ears of corn with ease. What I really like is that you can close the lid while everything is cooking, just as you would with a full-size grill. The burgers came out perfectly grilled, and the corn was excellent. We grilled chicken breasts on it as well, with the same excellent results.One other reviewer mentioned the small flame, which is true. When it's set on low, it almost looks like it's not working. But believe me, it gets plenty hot, and as the other reviewer suggested, you might want to start out cooking things on the low setting until you get used to it. We also purchased the removable grill, which allows the Fold N Go to act like a regular camp stove. This was a great addition. It let us cook pancakes on our regular 2-burner Colman stove... Read more 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Not just for camping, By This review is from: Coleman Fold N Go Portable Grill (Sports) I'm a big fan of charcoal, but we bought this grill for times when we don't want to wait for a fire to get ready or aren't cooking enough food to warrant bothering with charcoal. We use it on a glass table on the porch. It works great, doesn't overheat the table beneath it, and provides enough heat to cook just about anything you can fit in it (like, four large burgers or four medium-size chicken breasts). Gas for it is relatively cheap, and it doesn't use nearly as much as a full-size grill. My drip pan doesn't have sharp enough edges to cut anyone, so the company must have fixed that. About the only things I can complain about are (1) the perforated grill collects more crud than a wire one would, so I usually soak it overnight in the sink after use, and (2) the gas canister sort of flops around, making it a little clumsy to carry and store. But overall, I like it much better than I expected. It shows no sign of rusting after close to a year. When it does rust away, I'll get another... It's mostly sheet metal; light weight and portable like a camping grill. The grill has easy clean removable rack and bedpan. Holds four burgers easily. Cons: Expensive. It's sheet metal; recommend thorough cleaning after each use, since sheet metal will probably rust easily. It's sheet metal; construction may appear cheap, even though it's the only way to keep it lightweight. Notes: Great if you live in an apartment, with a small balcony (especially if they looks down on keeping grills). You can bring it out and put it away quite easily. This is the main advantage for those concerned about theft. I highly recommend getting a hose that allows you to plug in to a normal size propane tank, a grill lighting wands, and a table to put it on (if you don't have one already).
